In recognition of the need to be present at all international ports and land borders to serve members operating in those jurisdictions, and also to increase its engagement with a broad cross-section of the international trading community, CUBAG has developed district offices in respective regions.
In accordance with the parent statute, the 2008 Constitution, the first district office outside of the Head office, Tema was established at the Aflao Border, in the Volta Region in 2019 and inaugurated in 2010. Three other regional secretariats in succession followed suit.

The Customs Brokers Association Ghana (CUBAG) takes its commitment to excellence beyond its central operations, establishing four strategic regional offices—The K.I.A. District, Tema District, Aflao District, and Takoradi District. These regional offices serve as vital hubs, fostering local engagement, addressing regional nuances, and amplifying CUBAG’s impact on the freight forwarding landscape across different corners of Ghana.

District Office focuses on tailoring CUBAG’s initiatives to align with the specific requirements of airfreight forwarding. It serves as a local nexus for members, ensuring that the air logistics sector is well-represented and supported within the broader CUBAG framework.

It serves as a crucial link for CUBAG members engaged in cross-border freight operations.
- Takoradi District Office:
Located in the heart of the Western Region, the Takoradi District Office addresses the unique dynamics of the oil and gas industry and other economic activities in the region. With the Takoradi Port playing a vital role in the export of commodities, this regional office is dedicated to supporting CUBAG members involved in energy logistics and other regional trade endeavors. It serves as a local resource center for knowledge exchange and collaboration within the Western Region.
Key Functions of CUBAG’s Regional Offices:
- Local Representation and Advocacy: Each regional office serves as a local representative of CUBAG, advocating for the interests and concerns of members in its specific region. This ensures that the association’s initiatives are aligned with the diverse needs of freight forwarders operating in different parts of the country.
- Regional Training and Capacity Building: Recognizing the importance of localized expertise, regional offices organize training programs and capacity-building initiatives tailored to the specific challenges faced by members in their respective regions. This enhances the professional development of CUBAG members and ensures that they stay abreast of regional industry trends.

By fostering local connections, the offices contribute to a sense of community, enabling members to share insights, address common challenges, and collaborate on regional projects.
